Local Labourites were out in Headingley today to introduce our new candidate Jeanette Walker and hear what local people had to say on issues they face.
It was raining hard, but all of us (Paul, Stephen, Kieran, Janette and Cllr Dobson) stayed for a couple of hours; people raised ‘bread and butter’ issues like paving, potholes and recycling, and reminded us about the importance of local politics. It was a very interesting and useful experience.
We are having a planning meeting on Sunday to put together fresh ideas on how we will go about campaigning and winning another seat in Headingley for Labour in May 2012.
