On Sunday 2nd Oct we ran a fundraising quiz upstairs at the Original Oak, over 15 of us came and thanks to Jonathan’s tricky questions none of us did particularly well!
The quiz was mainly on Labour, but somehow managed to have at least 8 questions about weather at the beginning (clearly not a strong point)!
Thanks to Jonathan for doing the quiz. It was tough, but everyone had a good time, and thanks also to the Original Oak for letting us use their upstairs bar.
Alex, Stephen and Dave’s team won (just!) and we raised just shy of £100.
Colour leaflets, postage and letters cost lots of money, and as a local party we don’t receive money from the Labour Party (contrary to popular belief), our donations come from a mix of standing orders from generous local members and trade unions.
Running a successful campaign needs enthusiasm and brilliant imaginative people, but it also needs money.
We want to have bigger and better events that involve more people and raise more money – making a Labour victory in May 2012 more likely, if you’d like to help us achieve that, please get in touch.
