We had a fantastic turnout for our double campaigning sessions on Saturday and Sunday in Headingley at the weekend. Thank you to everyone who gave up a few hours at the weekend to get involved! Together we delivered hundreds of leaflets. And the weather wasn’t bad either!

Headingley Labour – dates we’ll be campaigning for May 2012 outside Costa at Headingley Arndale

Campaigning re NHS outside Costa Coffee in Headingley

Over the last few months since the last local election in May we’ve been having a street stall outside Costa coffee at Headingley Arndale. We’ve done this to talk to people about local issues like police cuts and the NHS as well as to introduce new councillors (like Neil Walshaw) and campaigners for the May 2012 elections (Janette Walker and Doreen Illingworth).

We are now going to be there more often. Why? Because it’s good fun. We get to hear people’s stories, we get to talk to people and it’s an informal approachable setup.
